DESCRIPTION

The forward recognition camera receives vehicle information from the ECM via CAN communication. DTC U030051 is stored when the vehicle information from the ECM cannot be confirmed.

The forward recognition camera receives the vehicle information from the ECM via CAN communication. DTC U030057 is stored when the vehicle information from the ECM and that stored in the forward recognition camera do not match.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:

When replacing the forward recognition camera, always replace it with a new one. If a forward recognition camera which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the forward recognition camera will not match the information from the vehicle and a DTC may be stored.
When the forward recognition camera is replaced with a new one or the windshield glass is replaced or removed/installed, make sure to read Before Starting Adjustment, then perform optical axis alignment for the forward recognition camera and clear the vehicle control history for each system.

Forward recognition camera axis alignment can be performed by using either One Time Recognition, Sequential Recognition or Driving Adjustment.

PROCEDURE

1.	CHECK FOR DTCs

(a) Check for DTCs of SFI system.

Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes

Result	Proceed to
DTCs are not output	A
DTCs are output	B

GO TO SFI SYSTEM

2.	CHECK FOR DTCs (HEALTH CHECK)

(a) Using the GTS, perform a health check.

OK:

DTCs indicating a vehicle information mismatch with that of the ECM are not output by any ECU other than the forward recognition camera.

REPLACE ECM

3.	READ VALUE USING GTS (HV/EV EQUIPPED INFORMATION)

(a) Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

HINT:

If the vehicle information stored in the forward recognition camera is different from the actual vehicle specifications, the vehicle information stored in the forward recognition camera may be incorrect. Replace the forward recognition camera.
If the vehicle information stored in the forward recognition camera matches the actual vehicle specifications, the installed ECM is incompatible. Replace the ECM.
