INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

HINT:

  • Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK KNOB INSIDE LOCKING CABLE

(a) Engage the guide to install the front door lock/unlock knob inside locking cable to the front door with motor lock assembly.

2. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK OPEN LEVER REMOTE CONTROL CABLE

(a) Engage the guide to install the front door lock open lever remote control cable to the front door with motor lock assembly.

(b) Engage the claws as shown in the illustration.

3. INSTALL FRONT DOOR WITH MOTOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

NOTICE:

  • When reusing a removed front door with motor lock assembly, replace the door lock wiring harness seal with a new one.
  • Do not allow grease or dust to adhere to the door lock wiring harness seal installation surface.
  • Reusing a door lock wiring harness seal or using a damaged door lock wiring harness seal may cause water ingress. This may result in a malfunction of the front door with motor lock assembly.

(a) Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the front door with motor lock assembly.

(b) When reusing the front door with motor lock assembly:

(1) Install a new door lock wiring harness seal to the front door with motor lock assembly.

(c) Connect the front door lock open rod as shown in the illustration.

HINT:

Make sure that the front door lock open rod is securely connected to the front door with motor lock assembly.

(d) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, install the front door with motor lock assembly with the 3 screws.

Torque:

9.0 N·m {92 kgf·cm, 80 in·lbf}

(e) Connect the connector.

4. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)

10. INSTALL POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL (for Front Passenger Side)

11. INSTALL MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL (for Driver Side)

12. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH

13. CONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

14. INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

HINT:

When disconnecting and reconnecting the auxiliary battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.
