DESCRIPTION
Use the following procedure if no DTCs are output but the EPS warning light is illuminated continuously.
The power steering ECU assembly controls the warning light in the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.

NOTICE:
When the power steering ECU assembly has been replaced, perform Power Steering ECU Initial Setting (assist map writing).

PROCEDURE
1. | CHECK VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY (POWER STEERING SYSTEM) |
(a) Enter the following menus: Chassis / EMPS / Utility / Vehicle Control History (RoB).

HINT:
The EPS warning light illuminates if any vehicle control history is stored.

2. | INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY |
(a) Perform the Active Test of the combination meter assembly using the GTS.

(b) Check the combination meter assembly.
OK:
The EPS warning light turns on or off in accordance with the GTS operation.
OK | REPLACE POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY |
NG | GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM |
The fuel gauge shows approximately how much fuel is remaining in the tank when the ignition is switched ON. We recommend keeping the tank over 1/4 full.
