DESCRIPTION

The millimeter wave radar sensor assembly receives vehicle specification information from the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and ECM via the CAN communication line. If the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly cannot confirm the vehicle specification information sent from the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and ECM, the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly stores DTC U032251.

The millimeter wave radar sensor assembly receives vehicle specification information from the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and ECM via the CAN communication line. If the vehicle specification information stored in the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly does not match the vehicle specification information sent from the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and ECM, the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly stores DTC U032257.

NOTICE:

When replacing the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a millimeter wave radar sensor assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly will not match the information from the vehicle and a DTC may be stored.
When the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly has been replaced with a new one, it is necessary to perform millimeter wave radar sensor assembly beam axis alignment and to clear the vehicle control history. Before performing the Driving Adjustment, make sure to read Before Starting Driving Adjustment.

Beam axis alignment of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly can be performed using either Triangle Target, Flat Surface Target or Driving Adjustment.

PROCEDURE

1.	CHECK FOR DTC (MAIN BODY)

(a) Check for DTCs of main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

2.	CHECK FOR DTCs (HEALTH CHECK)

(a) Using the GTS, perform a health check.

OK:

ECUs other than the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly do not output specification information mismatch DTCs related to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU)

REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)

3.	CHECK MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)

(a) Check that the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) that is installed is a Toyota genuine part.

OK:

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) that is installed is a Toyota genuine part

REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)

4.	CHECK FOR DTC (ENGINE)

(a) Check for DTCs of SFI system.

Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes

5.	CHECK FOR DTC (HEALTH CHECK)

(a) Using the GTS, perform a health check.
