DESCRIPTION
The ECM communicates with each sensor and ECU via CAN communication.
If any malfunction is detected in a CAN communication circuit, one or more CAN communication system DTCs are stored.
DTC No. | Detection Item | DTC Detection Condition | Trouble Area | DTC Output from |
---|---|---|---|---|
U010087 | Lost Communication with ECM/PCM "A" Missing Message | When the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating, a communication malfunction between the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) and ECM is detected for approximately 1 second or more. | CAN communication system | Radar Cruise1 |
U010487 | Lost Communication with Cruise Control Module Missing Message | When the ignition switch is ON and the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating, a communication malfunction between the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly and ECM is detected for approximately 1 second or more. | CAN communication system | Radar Cruise1 |
U012287 | Lost Communication with Vehicle Dynamics Control Module Missing Message | When the ignition switch is ON and the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating, a communication malfunction between the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) and ECM is detected for approximately 2.6 seconds or more. | CAN communication system | Radar Cruise1 |
PROCEDURE
1. | CLEAR DTC |
(a) Clear the DTCs.
Powertrain > Radar Cruise1 > Clear DTCs
|
2. | CHECK FOR DTCs |
(a) Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.
HINT:
If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.
(b) Check for DTCs.
Powertrain > Radar Cruise1 > Trouble Codes Result | Proceed to |
---|---|
DTC U010087, U010487 or U012287 is output | A |
DTCs are not output | B |
None of the above conditions are met | C |
A | GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM |
B | USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK |
C | GO TO DTC CHART |
Before refueling, close all the doors, windows, and the liftgate/trunk lid, and switch the ignition OFF.
To open the fuel-filler lid, pull the remote fuel-filler lid release. To remove the fuel-filler cap, turn it counterclockwise. Attach the removed cap to the inner side of the fuel-filler lid.
