1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY

3. REMOVE BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the back-up light switch assembly connector. | |
(b) Using SST, remove the back-up light switch assembly and gasket from the manual transaxle assembly. SST: 09816-30010 | |
Inspection

PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Measure the resistance according to the values in the table below. Standard Resistance:
If the result is not as specified, replace the back-up light switch assembly. |

INSTALLATION
PROCEDURE
1. INSTALL BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Using SST, install a new gasket and the back-up light switch assembly to the manual transaxle assembly. SST: 09816-30010 Torque: 40.2 N·m {410 kgf·cm, 30 ft·lbf} | |
(b) Connect the back-up light switch assembly connector.
2. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

3. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY

Automatic transaxle: Shift the selector lever to the P position and set the parking brake.
Press the push button start to turn off the engine. The ignition position is off.
