(a) Disconnect the connector. | |
(b) Remove the 2 bolts and back door lock assembly w/ courtesy light switch.

1. INSPECT BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY W/COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH
(a) Check the operation of the door lock motor. (1) Move the door lock to the close (lock) position. (2) Apply auxiliary battery voltage and check the operation of the door lock motor. OK:
If the result is not as specified, replace the back door lock assembly w/ courtesy light switch. |

Installation

PROCEDURE
1. INSTALL BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY W/COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH
HINT:
Make sure to remove the string before installing a new back door lock assembly w/ courtesy light switch.
(a) Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the back door lock assembly w/ courtesy light switch.
(b) Install the back door lock assembly w/ courtesy light switch with the 2 bolts.
Torque:
7.5 N·m {76 kgf·cm, 66 in·lbf}
(c) Connect the connector.
2. INSTALL BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD

If a key is left in the vehicle, the functions of the key left in the vehicle are temporarily suspended to prevent theft of the vehicle.
To restore the functions, press the unlock button on the functions-suspended key in the vehicle.
