CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed or replaced during the side airbag pressure sensor removal/installation are shown below.

After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH

4. REMOVE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL (for Driver Side)

5. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL (for Front Passenger Side)

6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM GARNISH

7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS INNER WEATHERSTRIP

9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER

10. REMOVE SIDE AIRBAG PRESSURE SENSOR
(a) Check that the ignition switch is off.
(b) Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
CAUTION:
(c) Remove the nut. | |
(d) Disengage the claw to disconnect the side airbag pressure sensor.
NOTICE:
If the side airbag pressure sensor has been dropped, replace it with a new one.
(e) Disconnect the airbag connector to remove the side airbag pressure sensor. NOTICE: When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness. HINT: Refer to How to Connect or Disconnect Airbag Connector: Click here | |
No special break-in is necessary, but a few precautions in the first 600 miles (1,000 km) may add to the performance, economy, and life of the vehicle.
Do not race the engine. Do not maintain one constant speed, either slow or fast, for a long period of time. Do not drive constantly at full-throttle or high engine rpm for extended periods of time. Avoid unnecessary hard stops. Avoid full-throttle starts.
