REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE CENTER LOWER INSTRUMENT COVER

(a) Apply protective tape to the locations shown in the illustration.

(b) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the clip and guide to remove the center lower instrument cover as shown in the illustration.

(c) Remove the protective tape.

2. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

(a) Disengage the clips, claws and guides to remove the lower instrument panel finish panel as shown in the illustration.

(b) Disconnect the connector.

3. REMOVE SWITCH HOLE BASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the clips and guides to remove the switch hole base sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

Remove in this Direction

(b) Disconnect each connector.

4. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Turn the shift lever knob sub-assembly and remove it as shown in the illustration.

5. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

NOTICE:

To avoid damaging the console box assembly, do not attempt to remove the console box assembly while your hands are only holding portion A in the illustration.

(a) Disengage the clips and guide so that the console box assembly is lifted up as shown in the illustration.

Lift Up in this Direction

(b) Disengage the clips and guides to remove the console box assembly as shown in the illustration.

Remove in this Direction

(c) Disconnect the 2 connectors.

(d) Disengage the clamp.

6. REMOVE CONSOLE REAR END PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the clips and guide to remove the console rear end panel sub-assembly.

7. REMOVE REAR UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the clips to remove the rear upper console panel sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

Remove in this Direction

(b) Disconnect the connector.

(c) Disengage the clamp.

8. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 screws and 2 bolts.

(b) Disengage the guides and claws to remove the rear console box assembly as shown in the illustration.
