Removal
REMOVAL
PROCEDURE
1. REMOVE PIPING CLAMP
(a) While pressing the end of the suction hose sub-assembly into the end of the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly, use pliers to squeeze together both sides of the piping clamp until it breaks apart. NOTICE:

(b) Disconnect the suction hose sub-assembly.
NOTICE:
Clean off any foreign matter near the ends of the suction hose sub-assembly and air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.
(c) Remove the 2 O-rings from the suction hose sub-assembly.
NOTICE:
Wrap the open ends of the separated air conditioner tube and accessory assembly and suction hose sub-assembly with vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.
(d) Remove the piping clamp.
Installation
INSTALLATION
PROCEDURE
1. INSTALL PIPING CLAMP
(a) Remove the vinyl tape from the open ends of the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly and suction hose sub-assembly.
(b) Install a new piping clamp to the suction hose sub-assembly. NOTICE:

(c) Thoroughly coat 2 new O-rings and contact surface of the suction hose sub-assembly with compressor oil.
Compressor Oil:
ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
(d) Install the 2 O-rings to the suction hose sub-assembly.
NOTICE:
Do not let foreign matter adhere to the O-rings or O-ring seals.
(e) Engage the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly and suction hose sub-assembly by matching the alignment marks. NOTICE: Engage the parts by holding the pipe, not the piping clamp. |

(f) Securely insert the piping clamp to the point where the large diameter section of the piping clamp is covered by the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly. NOTICE:

No special break-in is necessary, but a few precautions in the first 600 miles (1,000 km) may add to the performance, economy, and life of the vehicle.
Do not race the engine. Do not maintain one constant speed, either slow or fast, for a long period of time. Do not drive constantly at full-throttle or high engine rpm for extended periods of time. Avoid unnecessary hard stops. Avoid full-throttle starts.
