DESCRIPTION
The millimeter wave radar sensor assembly receives vehicle information (Conv/HV/EV) or vehicle information (transmission type) from the ECM via the CAN communication line.
If the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly cannot confirm the vehicle information (Conv/HV/EV) or vehicle information (transmission type) sent from the ECM, the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly stores DTC U030051.
If the vehicle information (Conv/HV/EV) or vehicle information (transmission type) stored in the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly does not match the vehicle information sent from the ECM, the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly stores DTC U030057.
DTC No. | Detection Item | DTC Detection Condition | Trouble Area |
---|---|---|---|
U030051 | Internal Control Module Software Incompatibility Not Programmed | When the ignition switch is ON for 3 seconds or more, the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly cannot confirm the vehicle information (Conv/HV/EV) or vehicle information (transmission type) sent from the ECM for approximately 3 seconds or more. |
|
U030057 | Internal Control Module Software Incompatibility Invalid / Incompatible Software Component | When the ignition switch is ON for 3 seconds or more, the vehicle information (Conv/HV/EV) or vehicle information (transmission type) stored in the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly does not match the vehicle information sent from the ECM for approximately 1 second or more. |

PROCEDURE
1. | CHECK FOR DTCs |
(a) Using the GTS, check for SFI system DTCs.
HINT:
If DTC U030051 or U030057 is output by the pre-collision system, it is possible that SFI system DTCs have been stored, so perform troubleshooting for the SFI system.
Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes Result | Proceed to |
---|---|
SFI system DTCs are not output | A |
SFI system DTCs are output | B |
B | GO TO SFI SYSTEM |
|
2. | CHECK FOR DTCs (HEALTH CHECK) |
(a) Using the GTS, perform the Health Check.
(b) Check for DTCs.
OK:
ECUs other than the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly do not output specification information mismatch DTCs related to the ECM.
NG | REPLACE ECM |
|
3. | READ VALUE USING GTS (VEHICLE INFORMATION (Conv/HV/EV)) |
(a) Using the GTS, read the Data List.
